Affiliates usually look thesedirectories to find new products. By listing your program you'll get moreexposure. Just make a search on Google for "Affiliate Program Directories" andsubmit your program. 2. Find Complimentary Sites"Complementary" sites are a sites that sell products or services that complimentyour offerings. If you sell "gardening tools", a site that sells books on "gardeningtips" would be a perfect affiliate. If you sell software, try looking for sites thatsell computers or computer parts. Finding sites that already attract your targetmarket, and can benefit from recommending your product or service to theirvisitors, is the goal.3. Find content sitesThere are many sites that do not sell any kind of product or service but aremainly content-oriented sites. Such sites promote an idea, concept, study orbelief. Content sites that are used as a resource for your target market are idealaffiliates.4. A healthy side of this coin is that you can convertyour visitors in to your affiliates. Make a short report so your affiliate can brand it with there ownaffiliate link and give away. To add viral effect just place a line at first and last page of report like "ClickHere to make this Report your 24/7 digital salesperson" and add a link to youraffiliate page. Google's Secret Guidelines On Thin Affiliates

Are you creating pages without much content with the aim of collecting pay-per-click (PPC) revenue? Google's raters are taught to mark such pages as "Offensive", and gives examples.Google secret guidelines spend some time discussing different ways in which some affiliates display results from pay-per-click search engines, so if you're doing that, you'll definitely want to study this report carefully. Are you displaying ads disguised as search engine results? Google finds them offensive. Are you adding a dmoz.org feed to your site with the aim of earning PPC revenue? That's "offensive", too.Google says:"We differentiate between affiliates that produce extra service, value, or content, and those that simply are duplicates of other sites, set up to boost traffic to other sites and earn a commission for it. The former ones are not Offensive and should be rated on the merits to the query. The latter ones are Offensive..."Thin affiliate doorways are sites that usher people to a number of Affiliate programs, earning a commission for doing so, while providing little or no value-added content or service to the user. A site certainly has the right to try to earn income;we're attempting to identify sites that do nothing but act as a commission-earning middleman."Affiliate networks seen as warning signsTo Google, affiliate links such as qksrv.net, bfast.com and myaffiliateprogram.com - on the page or in redirects - "strongly suggest" that the site is a thin affiliate. Are you using an affiliate datafeed? To Google, that's another warning sign. However, if you offer a comparison of prices between different online merchants, you're OK, you're not a thin affiliate.Google provides an incredibly tough guideline, which hundreds of thousands of affiliate sites fail to meet.Google says:"Do not call a page affiliate spam when an affiliation is only incidental to the message and purpose of a website. To determine whether participation in affiliate programs is central or incidental to the site's existence, ask yourself this question: Would this site remain a coherent whole if the pages leading to the affiliate (merchant) were taken away?"That probably counts out most affiliate sites. In summary, if you want to be friends with Google, make sure you provide extra value or content.I've quoted only parts of the report. Any serious affiliate will want to study the whole thing carefully. You can read the full report on Henk's blog here...http://www.searchbistro.com/spamguide.docNote: A Google employee broke a non-disclosure agreement by revealing this report. I don't know how long it will stay online. You may want to do what I did - save a copy of it on your hard drive. Now we know what Google really thinks of affiliates. You've been warned.

How to Find Success in Internet Marketing by Ivan Cuxeva Jr

Internet marketing is a very difficult subject among webmasters who barely know the meaning of marketing, in order to be successful in Internet marketing we must first define what marketing really is. According to Wikipedia, marketing is a fundamental process to every business, because it is focused towards the consumer, a good marketing strategy will provide all the basic steps necessary to find out what the consumer really wants, once the business knows what the consumer wants, then those in charge of the marketing efforts will be able to tailor a good advertising campaign based on data gathered.
The process of marketing a product also involves finding out more about competition and current market conditions, which will affect the way you run your business, we live in a competitive world, this means that your product will never be unique and similar businesses will always be competing against yours.
Setting yourself apart is perhaps the most important benefit of a good marketing campaign, by setting your business apart and differentiating your product you will be able to create more revenue due to the fact that you were not perceived the same way as other competitors are perceived in the marketplace. Differentiating your product is critical on the web, this remains true if you decide to sell your own product or if you choose an affiliate program such as commission junction.
While the product will always be the same, webmasters are able to differentiate their websites by the way they are designed and the features included which offer value to visitors, for instance, if you decide to sell digital cameras by signing up to an affiliate program, it would be helpful for your visitors to have a way to compare cameras using tables, which show the benefits and features of each one as well as a pricing, this website feature can be easily implemented using a server-side database, also known as MySQL
Besides creating original content which is part of on page optimization, you should always research new ways to optimize your site by using SEO techniques. It is a common saying among webmasters that content is king, this is due to the fact that Google values new and original content which is not duplicated or hasn't been indexed on their databases, this is decided by their LSI technology, for those of you who do not know what this term means it mostly refers to semantics. Sources of Free One Way Links For New Webmasters by Jon C

One of the biggest challenges facing new webmasters is acquiring backlinks for their sites.
Many new commercially orientated webmasters will have affiliate pages with zero Google Page Rank. Link exchanges will be hard to acquire as experienced webmasters will be concered about linking to bad domains. And directories often deny links to affiliate pages, especially if they're deeplinks and without Google Page Rank.
This article will therefore outline a few strategies that even new webmasters can use to create backlinks for their sites.
Article Submission
Affiliate programs often provide marketing articles for their affiliates to use. While posting these straight onto article directories is often forbidden (and bad, as it can incur duplicate content penalties), they can easily be rewritten into original pieces. If not, a dedicated webmaster should be able to write an article about almost anything after a bit of research. Once posted, other webmasters will often take these articles and place them on their own sites. Good articles can therefore be propagated over hundreds of sites. One article that I wrote last month was listed on 50 sites within a week, and I only submitted it to 5 directories.
User Profiles
User profiles on sites such as Yahoo and internet forums often contain dofollow links. So make sure that you fill in all the details.
Forum Signatures
While forums alway frown on new members posting links and spamming them, many allow users to post links in their signatures. Joining in with discussions can therefore create a few links.
Flickr
dofollow links can be placed in the text descriptions that go with each photo. This can be an excellent strategy if you have photos related to your website or pages.
Social Bookmarking
Some social bookmarking sites, such as Digg, use dofollow links. Note, however, that many do not like to be spammed. So do not abuse these sites or your account could be closed.
Site Information Pages
Sites such as whois.sc provide reports on any website. If these pages are accessed via dynamic URL's, then the user can help the search engine spiders to index these pages by pointing external links at them. I often do this via social bookmarking or blogs.
Create a Blog
Write a blog and post about anything that goes through your mind. I often just write a dream diary. Use your blog to link back to your website.
Resources

Making Money Online with Informational Websites by William Lund

I have a number of free legitimate ideas for making money online that I'll share with you here and now. There are numerous ways to generate income from websites. There are Adsense and other ad programs, and there is a new audio ads program just coming out. There are of course affiliate programs as well.
But the key to success is to have a website that gets traffic. Without traffic you have nothing. Get enough traffic, and you can sell anything.
I subscribe to the idea that there is no such thing as a free lunch. To be successful requires some work. These money making methods have worked for me and will work for you if you put just a little effort into it. (OK, sometimes it takes a lot of work)
If you are looking for a quick buck, I probably can't help you...unless you already have a website that gets lots of traffic but doesn't earn you any money...that situation could produce near instant money.
These methods will work to the degree that you work on them. You can do it part time or full time. I've even built sites while vacationing on a cruise ship. I have websites about my cruise ship vacations that earn me money! In the beginning I used internet cafes while cruising in the Greek islands to upload the previous day's photos. These days high speed internet connections are widely available on most of the cruise ships.
Well what do you know! I just gave you the first idea. Build a website about your vacations, and monetize it. Lots of opportunities here like camping, fishing, hiking, tennis, golf, softball, extreme sports...
Traveling, vacations, cruises, gambling getaways, are all things that people search for online. If you had a great vacation riding dune buggies somewhere in Southern California, then you have a potential for making money from it. If you have tips for golfers or sports fisherman you have potential web sites!
Here is what to do.
Find a subject, do research with keyword research tools online to make sure that people are searching for the kind of information you plan on offering, and get started Build your site with your human visitor in mind. Make it simple, straightforward, easy to navigate, and put in great content. Make sure it's easy for spiders to follow links to every page.
Pick your title carefully using your most searched for keywords if possible. Make sure you have a good meta description. Put a few keywords in Alt tags for images, but do not overdo it. It's best it if is real and useful to humans. Formulate and act on a linking strategy. Spell check your work! Be professional and don't allow errors in grammar, spelling, or punctuation in your text.
Whenever you feel like it you can add a page or two to your site and increase its earning potential. The more you work at it the more you earn. The more good content on your site, the more visitors you will get.
One of the cool things about money making websites is that they just keep on going year after year. Some of my sites make less than $50.00 a month. But they do make money, month after month, and, year after year.
The cost of building and hosting a website is tiny. You can get a domain name for less than $10.00 a year and you can get hosting for about $5.00 a month or less. Unless you are excited by the idea of learning or using HTML, you would need to invest in a WYSWYG editor for building web pages.
I use FrontPage 3000 which I bought about a couple of years ago for a few hundred bucks.
None of this is quick though. It takes time and effort to build a good website. But there are so many online tools available these days that you don't need to have much in the way of skill or experience to get started and do a decent job.
You will want to promote your site to get traffic. You can issue press releases, write articles and submit them to article directories and blogs. You can start your own blog. There are even submission services online that will write articles and submit them for you. Beware though that you will want to proof read and make corrections to such articles...English is probably not their native tongue.
And offline advertising can be quite effective too.
It also takes a while to get listed in the search engines. It can take up to a year or more for a decent ranking on Google. It also takes time to obtain back links which are important. There are two things that you need to do that most people won't do in order to succeed at this endeavor.
The first is you must actually start the site, and the other is you must finish it.
You can learn in great detail about any of the things I've mentioned by simply doing research. Everything you need to know is on the internet if you look hard enough. You should not have to look hard though.
Since I've always been self employed I didn't have a retirement program. I do now! I have websites that make money. If I stop working, they keep right on sending me monthly checks
So don't wait any longer...follow the steps I've provided on this site...pick a domain name, get hosting, get an editor, build a site, start promoting, and build a nice long term income.

Affiliate programs: do they really earn money online? by Fraser Gunn

Affiliate programs at the start seemed to me to be a good idea; the concept is similar to programs of network marketing run in the "real world", such as Usana, except that all the "networking" is done anonymously and there is no effort on your behalf to sign anyone up or anything of that sort.
You set up a website linking your site to the affiliate manager's & your aim is to get people to sign up with them through your site; usually a good affiliate manager will pay for your site set up costs and some even design the whole page for you! One affiliate program that does this is: http://www.affiliatejunktion.com?a_aid=a8e326b7
The affiliate managers will then pay you commission (the best ones offer between US$2 - $5) based on the number of sign ups you can generate. Basically this goal is achieved through advertising on sites such a Google (through AdWord) and Yahoo (through Sponsored Search). From my experience, this is a cheap & effective method to get your site out there & the results will surprise - within 2 days I was literally getting hundreds of hits a day and my ad was just a copy of what my affiliate programs step-by-step guide said to do! Some affiliate marketing sites are particularly good in helping you set everything in motion, of this one example being http://www.affiliatesearnmoney.com
From my experience affiliate programs can work for you to generate a steady income stream; they are by no means a get-rich-quick scheme of the crazy sort you see online these days but if you want some additional income coming in every week then I highly recommend you give it a try. After all, most affiliate programs let you join free & have you earning within a day of signing up.

Affiliate Marketing Vs. Google Adsense: Let The Battle Begin…

Lately there has been a lot of discussion on how to make tons of money with Google Adsense. In fact, many people are making the claim that Adsense sites can earn a higher revenue then an affiliate-marketing site.
So that brings us to an important question: Which is a better online business - Affiliate-Marketing sites or Google Adsense sites?
Let's explore each one and then find out which online business is better option:
Google Adsense
How do you like the idea of earning m*ney without dealing with customers or answering emails. This is possible when you run a Google Adsense site. With Adsense sites, you can have a virtual passive-income that requires little maintaining. But is this the best option for an online business?
Here are the positives of Google Adsense sites:
· They are perfect for people who run information sites that have no related affiliate product
· You can set it and leave it. With Google Adsense, you can create a content page, and there is little need to update the content.
· Adsense sites are easy to scale. Since they require little upkeep, you can easily create multiple websites that each make a nice income.
Here are the negatives of Google Adsense sites:
· They are not a great long term solution. Instead of getting your visitors to subscribe to a mailing list, you are focusing on getting people to click on ads. Real online businesses concentrate on building assets that can use for long-term growth.
· These sites are dependent on search engines. Most Google Adsense sites make the mistake of depending on search engines for the majority of their traffic. If the SE algorithms change then your income might drop significantly.
Affiliate Marketing
Being an affiliate marketer is great for those who want build a theme site. With this type of business, you can easily create web pages around a topic and get people to buy products through your products. If done correctly, you can easily build a loyal following that will help you make money for years to come.
But can affiliate marketing make you more money then Google Adsense?
Here are the positives of affiliate marketing:
· A great advantage of affiliate-marketing is that you can build a long term business that will bring in a revenue stream for years.
· With affiliate-marketers you need to focus on building an email list. This list is a major asset of your business. Every time you have an offer, you can go to your list and increase your profits..
· Unlike Google Adsense sites, which only concentrates on high paying keywords, an affiliate marketing site can be centered on a topic that you have an interest in.
Here are the negatives of affiliate marketing:
· You have to learn how to write persuasively and get people to purchase the product that you are recommending. For many people this is a difficult skill to learn.
· Each affiliate marketing site requires a lot of effort. You must spend a lot of time writing product reviews, building your email list and creating web content.
So which is better: Affiliate marketing or Google Adsense?
The answer is that both are great solutions for an online business. Instead of choosing one over the other, you should create websites that can take advantage of both.
Here is how you can do this:
1) Create a content site on a topic that you are interest in, while paying a good amount per Adsense click.
2) Integrate your Adsense into the menu bars and the top of your web content.
3) Add web pages for affiliate-products and your opt-in email list. But, make sure that you leave out the Adsense blocks on these pages. This way you are ensuring that you are building your long-term assets.
4) Create optimized web page articles that focus on a specific keyword phrase. Place your Google Adsense in these blocks.
5) Provide your email list with good content and product recommendations. Once in awhile, email your list and provide a link to some of your web articles. That way, you can earn a little bit of m*ney from your subscribers while giving them good content.
By focusing on both affiliate products and Google Adsense, you will be building both short-term and long-term profits.

Google Finally Dropped The Bombshell On Affiliate Marketers.

Google finally dropped the bombshell on affiliate marketers. Their was a lot of speculation in the affiliate marketing community if they would actually go through with it. Well, they finally did.
In case some of you reading this don’t know what I’m talking about; Google no longer allows affiliates using adwords to send traffic directly to the merchants website. Affiliates will now have to send traffic to their own sites first. This is going to make a lot of affiliates angry because now they have to go through the extra work of creating web pages.
Personally, I welcome the change. Affiliates who don’t want to take the time to set up their own web pages will stop using adwords. This in turn will make keyword cost cheaper and get your google ads a higher position.
Some people thought that Google would be losing money as a result of the new rule. I don’t think so. The number of Google ads will decrease as some affiliate marketers leave, but the ads that remain will probably get clicked on more often than they did in the past. Which means more traffic for those webmasters..
One of the main reasons Google implemented the changes is so their adword results were more relevant. It doesn’t make much sense for each ad to point to the same website from a searchers perspective. But, this could backfire on Google. Affiliates could simply create their own web pages and send visitors to the same site anyways.
I’ve been using adwords for about two years now and its interesting to see how things change as time rolls on.

How To Promote Affiliate Products On Google Adwords

Google Adwords represents a great way to gain relevant ads into your website. The good thing about it is that it allows you to earn income even if you don’t have any products of your own. The best part? You don’t need to do any of the promotion as all of it is taken care of by Google itself.
How it works
You will firstly need to sign up for one or more affiliate programs and get the respective codes for these. The best option would be to work through a single banner or umbrella which will bring in plenty of affiliate programs all under a single roof. This way you can undertake on selling as many affiliate products as you can and start on the marketing efforts. The good thing about Adwords is that even if you have limited funds you can do well. It’s because Google enables you to plan out your budget and thus keep costs low as you want it. You just need to pay an initial amount which is fairly reasonable. Also, another great thing about Adwords is that you don’t need to do any promotion by yourself. Everything is done by Google. They have their own robust promotional package through which you can easily convince customers to buy your products online.
Getting started
You will need to register for a Google Adwords account. All you need to do is verify your own email ID in order to start churning out ads for the products. You will then receive a confirmation from Google saying your application has been accepted.
Diversification
With Google’s Adwords you will be able to diversify your market base very easily. You can try out different ads as per your interests. You can select ads as per the target market of choice. The ultimate objective of your affiliate program is to get people to click on your affiliate ad link. To do this, you need to ensure that the text on the link does not give away the fact that you’re redirecting clients to another site. You need to camouflage this as effectively as you can.
Budget constraints
With Google’s Adwords it is possible for you to set your initial pricing to as low as even 1 cent for each click. However, this might rob you of sales in the long term. Instead you could opt for pricing packages like 5 or 10 cents for each click. You can even mention the amount you can afford to pay out each day. You can even avail options to restrict your ads click throughs to just 3 per day. When you are starting out it is sensible to start out small. So initially a 2-5 dollar per day is good enough amount.
The implementation
Once you have decided on the pricing and made payment, Google will take over. It will place all of your ads on all relevant search engine results. It will also display these ads on sites which have Adsense. If anyone is searching for EBay, then too your ads will get displayed on the search engines online. The concept of placing your ads under relevant banners and platforms is to get access to warm markets which are already interested in your product. This in turn increases your chances at getting more click throughs and hence more sales.
Pitfalls to avoid
Many novice affiliate marketers have used Google Adwords only to realize that the commission they are earning is far lesser than the amount they have invested. This can be a de-motivating factor for many. Therefore, the best approach is to start out small and then do plenty of research and study as you go along. You also need to learn from the mistakes made by other affiliate marketers. That way you don’t have to reinvent the wheel again.Visibility
One great thing about using Google’s Adwords to promote your affiliate products, is that it gives you great visibility. You can almost instantly get your affiliate links into Google’s first page. All this without even having your own website! But yes, it can be a little expensive in the beginning. However, like it has been mentioned earlier, it pays to be modest and start out small initially. Supplement your promotional efforts with lots of research.

Can Google Adsense Help My Affiliate Programs?

If you are looking for business opportunities, affiliate programs are all the rage today. Simply typing affiliate programs into any search engine will yield a multitude of results with links to websites offering various affiliate programs, promising anything from instant riches to long time financial security. Part of the allure of affiliate programs is that unlike running a business of your own, with an affiliate business you don’t have to deal with things like inventory, storage, packing, shipping, complaints, returns, phone calls, emails, checks or credit cards. In fact, your only responsibility is to direct people to your affiliate site through your affiliate link.
While not having to deal with the aforementioned things, and at the same time being able to earn commissions as high as 75% may sound alluring, and no doubt it should, the reality is more times then not like anything in life it takes time to build your affiliate business to the point where it begins to make you money. In the mean time you must deal with expenses that may stem from advertising, hosting your own website, monthly affiliate fees, etc. Anyway to offset these expenses is welcome!
Google AdSense Not only offers you this opportunity but many affiliate based businesses rely on Google AdSense for a large chunk of their monthly commissions! What Google AdSense allows you to do is to display Google ads on your website that are relevant to the content on your website without distracting from it. When people click on a Google AdSense ad that’s on your website you earn a commission. The program is free to join and also offers other ways to earn additional income as we’ll. You can even think of it as an additional affiliate program earning additional money for you that you would otherwise have never seen!
The fact is, most people who visit your affiliate website will not buy from you. They will simply look around and then leave. Of the ones that do end up buying they will most likely visit your website several times before making a buying decision. In fact it will take an average of 7-12 times for a person to visit your website before they do buy. That is because people want to weigh all of their options. They want to see what other business opportunities or affiliate programs are available to them by visiting other websites, and then they need time to consider which one to go with. If someone is going to visit your website and then leave without buying, wouldn’t you rather that they leave by clicking on a link that you will earn a guaranteed commission on?
Do you see why Google AdSense will always be a very important part of your affiliate business? Running an affiliate business is, like anything else in life, a numbers game. Google AdSense offers you the opportunity to profit off of the numbers of people who will never buy from you, (the vast majority), as well as enable you to get additional revenue from the ones that will eventually buy from you! I assume your desire is to make as much money as you possibly can from an affiliate business of your own? If that is the case then you cannot afford, not to have Google AdSense on your affiliate website!

Affiliate Marketing With Google Adwords

One of the best kept secrets in today's affiliate marketing world is the pay per click advertising version with Google AdWords. Adwords allows advertisers to place small ads on websites or on Google.com search result pages. You probably noticed the little advertisements to the right on Google.com.
In Affiliate Marketing you are promoting 3rd party products and in return you earn a share of a sale generated from your marketing efforts. We all have seen those little Amazon.com banners on different websites. These would be a very simple form of affiliate marketing. More sophisticated versions are complete stores build around Amazon.com or based on data feeds from other vendors. In some cases the affiliate has to build his own website and store - in others there are white label website templates or pages available for the affiliate to work with. Only when it comes to the actual sale the customer is redirected to the 3rd party vendor who carries the actual product.
Not a new variant but a not very well-known version of affiliate marketing is the promotion of affiliate product links/websites via Google AdWords. The power of advertising on Google.com is combined with the affiliate link. The affiliate partner does not need a website anymore, he directly links the customer to the 3rd party. With Google AdWords very targeted marketing is possible and well-written ads equipped with the right keywords can bring in big bucks. All the affiliate has to do is to figure out which keywords are affordable to promote. And that's where secret to success is. Everyone can buy the expensive and obvious keywords to promote products but when it comes to affiliate success via PPC advertising (aka Google AdWords) the inexperienced marketing folks are being weeded out or are left with big holes in their pockets. Finding the right combination of keywords, target group, ad copy is the critical piece of the puzzle.
Overall - affiliate marketing via PPC on Google or via Overture (competitor of Google AdWords) can be very lucrative and quite a few people are making a living of it. It sounds easy to do but to break into this field a new affiliate needs a lot of luck, big bucks or patience and knowledge.

Did Google Slap You?

According to the blogs, forums and a variety of other news sources affiliate advertisers are getting slapped around by Google big time! Google Adwords costs are skyrocketing, sponsored listing placements have hit rock bottom or are disappearing altogether. What about you? Has your site been affected? Do you want to know the real reason why this happened? Would you like to prevent this from happening to your affiliate site, or regain your Adwords placement? Then listen up. Because contrary to what you might have heard, "Google's Slap" has absolutely nothing to do with squeeze pages or other sign-up forms on your landing pages. Nothing! Then what's the problem? Relevance. It's all about your landing page's relevance people. Technically speaking, Google changed their "Quality Score" standards. The change mostly effects marketers who point their AdWords campaigns to simple sales pages and squeeze pages (AKA lead capture pages). These marketers have lost a lot of traffic and impressions and have seen their cost per click skyrocket. Google has made it crystal clear about its requirements that you make your pages relevant to the keyword, title and description used in your ad. Where does it say that? Right in Google AdWords Landing Page and Site Quality Guidelines: https://adwords.google.com/select/siteguidelines.html Following is an excerpt from those guidelines: "If users don't quickly see what they clicked on your ad to find, they'll leave your site frustrated and may never return to your site or click on ads in the future. Here are some pointers for making sure that doesn't happen: Link to the page on your site that provides the most useful and accurate information about the product or service in your ad. Ensure that your landing page is relevant to your keywords and your ad text. Distinguish sponsored links from the rest of your site content. Try to provide information without requiring users to register. Or, provide a preview of what users will get by registering. In general, build pages that provide substantial and useful information to the end-user. If your ad does link to a page consisting of mostly ads or general search results (such as a directory or catalog page), provide additional information beyond what the user may have seen in your ad or on the page prior to clicking on your ad. You should have unique content (should not be similar or nearly identical in appearance to another site). For more information, see our affiliate guidelines." Here's the summarized version: If all of the affiliate links are removed from your site does your site still provide relevant, informative and valuable content for visitors? It really doesn't get any clearer than that what Google wants to see, now does it? All Google is trying to do is get you to improve the quality of your site. Having quality content on your site like articles, reports, news, etc., will also help your AdWords listings. In addition, content rich web sites rank well in organic search engine listings. Through the placement of your site in the search engines, you will be able to attract more and better targeted traffic. Content rich sites are also more likely to obtain incoming links from outside sites. Google loves incoming links. These links will also pull in targeted traffic. Speaking of links, when you add content to your site, link directly to a content page from the landing page. My research has shown, sites with a considerable number of pages have been less effected by Google's Slap. Also, add a "Contact" page to your site and link directly to this page from the landing page. Finally, create a "Site Map" and link to all your content pages directly from the site map. In addition, the content page you’ve linked to from the landing page, should link to the site map. I contacted a few affiliates I know, while doing research for this article and here's what I discovered: The affiliates who provide relevant, valuable content on their landing pages have found their efforts are actually being rewarded during this latest Google Dance. I also discovered, their Adwords costs are actually decreasing, while their placement in the sponsored listings are increasing, thus making their ads more visible. In closing, if you want to avoid Google's Slap, just provide quality content throughout your site, link directly to the content from your landing page, and make your landing pages relevant to the keyword, title and description used in your ad.

Google Adsense Profits Mixed In With Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing has become one of the most effective ways to advertise online. It is also one of the easiest ways for anyone with a website to make a profit online. Affiliate Marketing is an agreement between a merchant and a website owner. The website owner, or the affiliate, allows the use of their site for the promotion of the merchant's products by linking to the merchant's website. In exchange, the merchant pays a commission to the affiliate on all sales generated by the affiliate. Every time someone clicks on the link on the affiliate website and proceeds to make a purchase, the affiliate gets a commission. The merchant will pay the affiliate only when a customer clicks on the product link and makes a purchase. Are you a webmaster who needs funds to keep your website running? Or is your website the only way for you to earn income? Whichever you are, for as long as you are a webmaster or a web publisher and you need cash, affiliate marketing may work well for you. With affiliate marketing, you may get a lot of cash pouring into your bank account easily. And if your website is rich in great contents and you want to earn more profit, why not get into the Google Adsense program as well? Why Affiliate Marketing? Well, simply because affiliate marketing is the easiest and probably the best way to earn profits online, unless otherwise you are a businessman and would rather sell your own products online than advertise other businessman’s products on your site. But even online retailers can benefit from affiliate marketing programs, because affiliate marketing actually works for merchants as well as it works for the affiliates. Affiliate marketing, simply said, is a relationship or agreement made between two websites, with one site being the merchant’s website and the other being the affiliate’s site. In the relationship, the affiliate agrees to let the merchant advertise his products on the affiliate’s site. The merchant, on the other hand, would agree to pay the affiliate in whatever method they have agreed into. This would generally mean easy income for the affiliate, as he would do nothing but place the retailer’s ad on his site. This would also be very beneficial for the merchant, as getting affiliates to advertise their products would be a lot more affordable than hiring an advertising firm to promote their products. There are a variety of methods on how the merchant would compensate the affiliate for his services, and for the webmaster, these methods simply translates to the method by which he would earn easy cash. Among the more common methods of compensation are the pay-per-click method, the pay-per-lead method, and the pay-per-sale method. The pay-per-click method is the method most preferred by affiliates, for their site’s visitor would only have to visit the advertiser’s site for them to gain money. The other two methods, on the other hand, are better preferred by merchants, as they would only have to compensate you if your visitor becomes one of their registrants or if the visitor would actually buy their products. Getting much profit on affiliate marketing programs, however, does not depend so much on the compensation method is it does on the traffic generated by your site. A website that can attract more visitors would generally have the greater chance of profiting in affiliate marketing programs. What about Google Adsense? Google Adsense is actually some sort of an affiliate marketing program. In Google Adsense, Google act as the intermediary between the affiliates and the merchants. The merchant, or the advertiser, would simply sign up with Google and provide the latter with text ads pertaining to their products. These ads, which is actually a link to the advertiser’s website, would then appear on Google searches as well as on the websites owned by the affiliates, or by those webmasters who have signed up with the Google Adsense program. While one can find a lot of similarities between Google Adsense and other affiliate marketing programs, you can also see a lot of differences. In Google Adsense, all the webmaster has to do is place a code on his website and Google takes care of the rest. The ads that Google would place on your site would generally be relevant to the content of your site. This would be advantageous both for you and for the advertiser, as the visitors of your site would more or less be actually interested with the products being advertised. The Google Adsense program compensates the affiliate in a pay-per-click basis. The advertisers would pay Google a certain amount each time their ad on your site is clicked and Google would then forward this amount to you through checks, although only after Google have deducted their share of the amount. Google Adsense checks are usually delivered monthly. Also, the Google Adsense program provides webmasters with a tracking tool that allows you to monitor the earnings you actually get from a certain ad. So, where do all of these lead us to? Where else but to profits, profits and even more profits! Affiliate marketing programs and the Google Adsense program simply work, whether you are the merchant or the affiliate. For the merchant’s side, a lot of money can be saved if advertising effort is concentrated on affiliate marketing rather than on dealing with advertising firms. For the webmaster, you can easily gain a lot of profits just by doing what you do best, and that is by creating websites. And if you combine all your profits from both the Google Adsense program and other affiliate marketing programs, it would surely convert to a large amount of cash. All the same, the best benefit of being an affiliate marketer is the opportunity to increase your income; and you can make a profit even if affiliate marketing is only a sideline business. With your own affiliate business, you can earn easily earn extra income, although you do have to exert effort and use your imagination to maximize your earning potential. Indeed, affiliate marketing is one of the simplest and most effective business opportunities on the web today. Make Money with Google AdWords - Affiliate Marketing

In my last article I touched on a few different ways to make money online. One of the simplest ways to do this is to use Google AdWords to market products for which you are an affiliate. One of the best affiliate programs available is ClickBank. They have hundreds of items available for affiliate marketing. They don't allow any products that aren't digital, available for immediate download. It takes only a few minutes to get signed up as an affiliate, and it costs nothing. The signup form is here. Once you have an affiliate account with ClickBank, you need to log in, and find a product you want to market. This can be done at the ClickBank Marketplace. The products are ranked using a proprietary system designed by ClickBank. This system attempts to place the products most likely to make you money at the top of the list. It takes into consideration several factors, including previous sales trends, and conversion rates. (A conversion rate is the percentage of visitors who are referred to a site that actually purchase the product described). Go to the marketplace, and pick a product you'd like to market. Look at the product's home page, and decide whether it's something you think people will be interested in. Look at the cost of the product, and the percentage commission you will earn for sales. Obviously the higher the commission the better, but picking a product that sells well is more important than picking a product with a high commission. Once you've found your product, click the link that says "Earn X%". This will pop up a window telling you what your affiliate link should be for this seller. Copy the link down, and save it for the time being. Next you need to find a way to get people to click this link. As you may have guessed by now, Google's AdWords program is the easiest way to get started. The other option is to start your own web site, but this takes some time and quite a bit more effort. I'll cover some of these topics in coming articles. For now we'll focus on AdWords. First, you'll need to sign up for an AdWords account. Go to the main AdWords site and click the button labeled "Click to begin". You'll need to tell Google a few things about your target market, and then you can create an ad. I'll go into more detail about how to create the perfect ad a bit later, but for now I'll focus on a few important things. First, make sure you read the Editorial Guidelines for AdWords. There's a link on the page where you're setting up your ad. One thing to note is that Google requires you to put the word "Affiliate" or "Aff." in your ad so people know you're an affiliate. You also can't do things like use a bunch of exclamation marks or type your ad all in caps. There's an automated review process which will catch most of these errors, and a human review process which will catch most things not caught by the automated review. Enough of what not to do. Try to make your ad eye-catching, without violating the guidelines. Use active verbs, and make sure you use relevant keywords you think potential customers might be searching for. Google will highlight keywords in your ad when they're part of the user's search phrase. Once you've created your ad text and gotten past the automated review, you're ready to choose keywords. Choose the keywords you think are most relevant to your product. Even if you can create an ad with a fantastic click through rating that drives hordes of people to your affiliate link, you won't make any money unless those people actually buy the product. Type in some keywords, and use the "Keyword Tool" on the right hand side of the page to get suggestions from Google. Also think about common misspellings for keywords. This can be a good way to get some cheap clicks that are still relevant. You'll next have to determine how much you are willing to pay. The best strategy is to start out small. Spending even $10 per day can give you an idea of what might work and what might not. Once you have an ad that's working, and you've made a couple of sales, you can increase your max cost per day. Keep in mind that if you have high demand keywords, and a low maximum Cost Per Click, your ad may never get shown, or it may be shown on page 99 of the Google results. You need to find a balance between paying $5 for a single click, and not having your ad shown at all. Usually the "recommendations" made by Google are way too high, and will cause you to go broke in a hurry. Almost done now. You'll now need to finish signing up for your account. You'll need a credit card so Google can charge you when your ads are clicked. They'll add everything up and charge you once per month or so for all of your clicks. Do be careful about spending your entire budget on the first day. You'll need a couple weeks at least to try to evaluate what works and what doesn't. Don't be afraid to start small, and work your way up slowly to making more sales. Stay tuned to workfromhomespot.com for even more details on choosing ClickBank products, choosing AdWords keywords, and other more advanced topics.
